Random Acts of Genius: Raging Bull – Final Scene Monologue (Video)

Robert De Niro gave one of his best performances in Martin Scorsese’s 1980 film, playing the role of boxer Jake LaMotta in the classic sports movie Raging Bull. There were so many powerful scenes in the movie but I think this is the best one. After watching the dramatic decline of such a great athlete, the words said in the monologue speak so truthfully! Amazing!

Note- Like Robert De Niro says in the movie, the monologue comes from a scene in the classic movie, On The Waterfront, starring Marlon Brando which won him an Oscar for Best Actor. Robert De Niro went on to win an Oscar of Best Actor for this movie also!

Kobe Bryant’s Top 10 Plays (1997-98)

Leading up to All Star Weekend (In Los Angeles nonetheless) NBA.com is releasing videos featuring Kobe Bryant’s top 10 plays from each year beginning in his second season. I think it’s dope that the NBA is digging in it’s archives because honestly I’ve only seen about half of these plays in various youtube compilations so now I’m looking forward to the upcoming videos.
