22 Made Three Pointers Burn Lakers in Loss to Suns (Video)

I know it might be considered sacrilegious to restart the blog talking about a Lakers loss but hey, you got to take the good with the bad!
The Los Angeles Lakers put up a valiant effort but the Phoenix Suns were just too hot from beyond the arc (pun intended!). The Suns made 22 three pointers, one shy of a NBA record, to beat the Lakers 121-116. Kobe Bryant was one rebound shy of a triple double with 25, 14, & 9 and just two turnovers shy of a dubious quadruple double. Jason Richardson led all scorers with 35 points, hitting seven 3-pointers and making a critical steal in the last seconds of the game. The Lakers controlled the paint scoring 40 more points than the Suns (68-28) but could not seem to cool down their outside shooting and regain any momentum. This is the Lakers first home loss of the season and their second loss in a roll. Josh from The4thQuarter has already proclaimed that the Lake Show will now go 80-2 and not 82-0 like he said at the beginning of the season. I myself am not too worried! The Suns will not be making that many three pointers anytime soon and the Lakers really missed Steve Blake who has stomach flu. Look for the Lakers to rebound from this loss with good defense and strong bench play from anyone other than Shannon Brown!
Off to Milwaukee!
Oh and btw, that technical on LO was BULLSHIT!
