The entire morning was like a blur. Woke up to the Twitter world talking about Michael Jackson being rushed to the hospital after a heart attack, then it was cardiac arrest, then he alegedly died, then he was in a coma. It was sheer confusion for the entire afternoon. People were sending their RIP’s when it was yet to be confirmed. People were holding onto hope when it seemed to be all but true. After it was finally confirmed, it still didn’t quite hit me entirely until I turned on the radio and heard classic after classic being played on every station.
Everyone is entitled to their own opinions, but I think I speak for many people when I say that Michael Jackson was definitely one of the if not the greatest to ever do it. He made music that will remain timeless and that will ensure that he is remembered for his work and his impact on an entire generation rather than the controversy that followed him during the tail end of his career.
