MLB: Washington Nationals Select Steven Strasburg as No. 1 Pick

I have heard sooo much about Steven Strasburg! If you watch ESPN then I am sure you have also. Moments ago today, the Washington Nationals selected the San Diego State pitcher as the #1 draft pick in this year’s MLB draft (like you knew it was today!). Supposedly Strasburg is set to be the next great pitcher in the league and should definitely put the Nationals onto the winning side. Only one problem! His agent is Scott Boras (Manny’s agent) and he is looking at upwards of a $50 million contract! This would set a record for any rookie coming into the majors and might be a little too risky for most teams. It will be interesting to see what the Nationals will do with a player with such potential!
