Yesterday, the Knicks president Donnie Walsh sat down with Stephon Marbury and his lawyer to discuss a possible buyout of Marbury’s $21 million contract. 15 minutes later, Marbury walked out and nothing was resolved. Walsh has now asked Starbury to stay away from the practices and stay home for the games until they can workout a buyout. The entire mess has created a rift between Marbury, his teammates, and his new head coach, Mike D’Antoni. Hopefully this can be resolved shortly as the Knicks are actually having a decent season with an 8-8 record so far.
